FundBox (Sociedade
Gestora de Fundos de Investimento Imobiliário,
SA) is a portuguese fund management company,
supervised by the Bank
of Portugal.
Under portuguese law, fund management
companies (sociedades gestoras de fundos
de investimento imobiliário) are
special purpose financial institutions
endowed with the capability of managing
portuguese real estate funds (FII, fundos
de investimento imobiliário).
This capability is an exclusive of management
companies, with the exception of the
elegibility of banks as managers of closed-end
FII.
FundBox's share
capital is €525.000,00. The
company was set up in 1992, and acquired
and repositioned by current shareholders
in end-2002. Headquarters are in Lisbon.
